Harper Power Sports & Marine Ltd. (HPSM) is a long time established recreational products dealership located in central Ontario in the Haliburton Highlands. Harper Power Sports & Marine (formerly know as Prentice Power Sports) roots date back to incorporation in 1952. Our first Ski-Doo's were sold in 1967 ... making us one of the longest reining snowmobile dealerships in the province. Yes we were there in the early days of snowmobile racing and recreation and we participated and still support the sport actively today. Power sports is more than a business to us - it is a way of life!
Our ATV roots date back to 1982 when we started populating the country with Honda's. When BRP got into the ATV world we were quick to sign up and among the very first wave of dealers to offer Bombardier ATV's. Over the years BRP Can-Am ATV's have become hugely popular and are known for innovation, leading design and top edge performance. In fact the only ATV you will find in our store now is Can-Am by BRP because they are really that good! Haliburton boasts the largest ATV club with mapped trails (over 800 members and 1700km of trails) in Ontario and that club was launched right here at our dealership many years ago ... and we continue to stay active with power sports organizations through sponsorship and special events. In fact on several occasions BRP has done worldwide product launches right here in Haliburton in conjunction with our dealership.
We have been selling Sea-Doo's since their introduction in 1988 and we were the second dealer world wide to sign up with Sea-Doo. When BRP followed through with their amazing innovative jet propelled sport boats in 1994, we immediately went there as well. Now it's hard to go very far on a lake without seeing award winning BRP jet boats and Sea-Doo PWC's parked at a dock. They set the industry standard and every boat enthusiast wants one. All Sea-Doo products feature the proven reliable, economical and powerful Rotax 4 stroke engines from 130 to 260 HP. Some of our bigger sport boats even boast "twins". You will find a great selection of jet boats ranging from 15' - 23' long and the great thing about these boats is performance, agility and shallow draft so you can get into those tricky shallow areas without fear of prop damage.
